Sector Overview
This is a sub-sector to Commercial Facilities Sector and focuses on the protection of faith based venues.
In the United States, there are over 300,000 houses of worship. 85% of the US population affiliate with a church, synagogue, Mosque or other religious entity. The duty of the Federal Government to protect the right of its citizens to worship as they choose; free from crime and safe from acts of terrorism, and has historical roots in our Constitution. It is the intention of this sector to provide information, training and the development of inter-faith parterships for these very uniqie venues.
Sector Coordinator: Warren Franks
Warren is Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) and Infrastructure Liaison Officer (ILO) for the Inland Empire Private Sector Terrorism Response Group (PSTRG); and, a Citizen Volunteer for Riverside and San Bernardino County Sheriff's Departments. He is also a Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP) as designated by ASIS International. Warren is retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and has managed private sector security operations and business development for over twenty-seven years.

Mission
DRAFT-as of 4-13-10-Establish and promote a security resource for faith-based communities in the seven-county InfraGard service area. To act in an advisory capacity regarding BestPractices for securing people and property from criminal, terrorist, and all other hazards. To enable members to support their house of worship, and to act in concert with other religions and denominations to achieve sector goals.
Goals
DRAFT- as of 4-13-10 (1) to share best practices security policies and procedures (2) to facilitate recovery post event (3) to share information/intelligence Regarding threats to the faith-based community (4) to aid emergency Services in responding effectively to security related incidents.
