Sector Overview
Provides sources of safe drinking water from more than 53,000 community water systems and properly treated wastewater from more than 16,000 publicly owned treatment works.
Sector Coordinator: Cheryl Santor As described in the 2009 National Infrastructure Protection Plan: The Water Sector includes both drinking water and wastewater utilities. As per HSPD-7, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is the Federal lead for the Water Sector's critical infrastructure protection activities.
| "Water" Sector Co-Coordinator Keith Jones is a 25 year veteran of the Drinking Water Industry. He has spent the last several years working specifically on protecting our Nation's more precious resource; it's Drinking Water from accidental or intentional contamination. |
| "Wastewater" Sector Co-Coordinator Khai Luu has a MS in Emergency Services Administration. He works as an Environmental Health and Safety Analyst and coordinates emergency management and security programs for the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. He is also a Department Emergency Coordinator to Los Angeles County Operational Area. |

Mission To collaborate with the Southern California's public and private Water Sector and support utilities with customized Water Sector public outreach, all hazards preparedness consultation, and information exchange.
Goals To protect the Water Sector and prevent damage to the Water Sector. To provide Water Sector public outreach and address current and future challenges and opportunities.
